- Universal Flat Roof Trims and Flashings

Filon Flex-trim roof trims provide the best of both worlds; the attractive high quality finish of uPVC, with the cost effectiveness of GRP flat roofing. With their unique dovetail jointing strip, Filon Flex-trim allows a permanent high strength bond to GRP laminate, and are suitable for use with other liquid-laid and single-ply roofing systems.

Filon Flex-trim has a high quality finish which is colourfast; it requires no top coat or painting. A wide range of trims, corners and flashings are offered to meet most requirements, which are easy to work and install.

Durability

Approximate life expectancy under normal exposure conditions in Northern Europe

is 25 years, but Filon Flex-trim can remain structually sound beyond this period.

Working Characteristics

The product is lightweight and shatterproof. Can be cut with fine tooth saw or tin

snips and drilled with normal hand or power tools.

Finishes

Are supplied in grey or white finish as standard. The simulated lead flashings are

in grey only. Other colours are available subject to minimum quantities.

Fire Resistance

UPVC has inherent fire retardent properties.

Thermal Properties

Thermal coefficent of expansion is 80 x 10^-6 m/m per ⁰C.

Liquids

Water absorption (24 hours immersion) (ASTM S570) is 0.05% at Max - Min

temperatures of 70⁰C to -20⁰C.

Compatibility

No chemical reaction with other established construction materials.
