Translucent GRP for Greenhouses and Horticultural Buildings

Filon OASIS translucent GRP sheets are manufactured from a unique formulation developed for cladding horticultural buildings. This durable, shatter resistant and weather proof product is principally designed for transmitting the correct light levels within the photo synthesis wavebands to provide excellent growing conditions.

Filon OASIS sheeting is especially suited to translucent tunnel light applications incorporating cooling pads and extractor fans, where claddings are required to have very low permeability factor to ensure fans extract air which has passed through the cooling pads. Buildings with low permeability cladding are essential for seed production to prevent unwanted pollination's from external sources. This requirement is ideally suited to Filon OASIS, providing tight fitting profiled roof sheeting and flat sheets at gable ends which can be easily cut and sealed round extractor cooling pads and access doors.

Other typical applications include cladding of buildings used for potato chitting, and protection in garden centres where plants can be viewed during inclement weather without restricting plant growth.

Manufactured in Standard 17.5" x 3" profile at 1200mm wide or flat sheets, in weights of 1.2kg/m² or 1.53kg/m². Cut sheets can be supplied to any length up to 12m, with flat sheet alternatively supplied in 40m rolls if required.
