Road Side Markers and Delineators

Filon WayMarker are GRP delineators designed to provide maximum road side visibility both night and day. Their unique GRP qualities of toughness, flexibility and durability ensures they can withstand accidental impact from passing traffic, and be unaffected by the extremes of British weather lasting for many years maintenance free.

To provide maximum visibility they have two Class 1 curved reflectors, one on each side measuring 140mm x 70mm supplying a reflective surface of 98sq.cm, plus a 300mm wide single white band. These conform to the stringent demands of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 1994 requirements, as well as fulfilling Class 1 BS873 Part 6 specification for retro-reflective signs.

Their innovative design ensures they do not shatter on impact but bend flat as a vehicle passes over and return to the upright position once the vehicle has moved away. Unlike tubular delineators which in the event of a collision invariably break.

Filon WayMarker are extremely easy to handle and to install, simply sink them into the ground and either backfilled with earth or with concrete. Alternatively, a steel housing is provided that can be set in concrete and designed for Filon WayMarker to be inserted and "clicked" into place. A special tool is available for releasing the product from the housing in event of damage or redirection of traffic control.

After initial trails by the Motor Industry Research Association, Filon WayMarker are now used extensively on their 40 mile test circuit.
