Filon Citadel is an exceptional profiled opaque GRP sheet designed to withstanding demands of extreme environments in locations exposed to severe chemical conditions of processing and chemical plants and buildings in marine localities. Its superior GRP qualities successfully combat conditions in which other roofing and cladding materials would quickly corrode.
Filon Citadel can be tailored to withstand extreme conditions that prevail either externally or internally of a building.
When used for opaque roofing the sheets incorporate an additional woven glass reinforcement during manufacture. This strengthening meets the stringent demands of the Health and Safety Executive Drop Test, which requires the panel to withstand a 45kg bag dropped from a height of 1.2m without breaking.

Filon Citadel is manufactured in natural translucent, tinted or opaque colours, with matching GRP ridge units and flashings if required. Most common industrial profiles are produced in weights 1.83kg/m2 to 3.66kg/m2, and any length up to 12m. Two fire resistant grades, Class 1 and Class 3 are available, conforming to BS476 Part 3 and Part 7.
