What you’ll do
Assuming responsibility of the sales and market development within the North of England, East Midlands and East Anglia, the Area Sales Manager will provide external representation for the Company, contributing to the overall efficient company operations by servicing existing Filon clients, re-opening dormant accounts and being accountable for the controlled acquisition of new business in accordance with the existing business model. Integral to this position, is the ability to demonstrate a precise understanding of working with complex distributor and merchant platforms.
The primary focus of the role is to manage all customer accounts within the sales region and follow up on business opportunities by building credible relationships with key influential decisions makers. With a focussed and ethical approach, you will have the ability to communicate confidently across all platforms with all departments, ensuring that commercial relationships are maintained and sustained through face-to-face visits. The execution of marketing activities will also fall within the responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager to include, promoting the marketing strategy to new and existing customers, advertising campaigns, literature, newsletter content, website content design with the support of an external marketing agency and liaise with the National Sales Manager/Technical Manager on product development. Reporting directly into the National Sales Manager, this role will allow you to use your industry knowledge to promote our Filon brand, deliver on-target growth and investigate potential opportunities through the appropriate sales strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for the delivery of product training to distributors and roofing contractors as and when necessary, to raise brand and product range awareness.
