A COST EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE

Filon V-Flow Valley Troughs have been designed as a lightweight, durable and cost-effective alternative to traditional lead Valley Troughs, providing an efficient channel to direct and collect water run-off while preventing roof leaks. Manufactured from glass-reinforced polymer (GRP), our GRP Valley Troughs boast the unrivalled benefits of this fantastic composite material.

BENEFITS OF GRP VALLEY TROUGHS

Since producing the first GRP valley gutters by continuous pultrusion process in the 1980s, Filon’s V-Flow Valley Troughs are still one of our most popular GRP roofing applications today. These are the reasons why:

  • Versatile application
  • Durable and lightweight
  • Cost-effective and long-lasting

Quality Assured Valley Gutters

Our Roof Valley Troughs are manufactured in accordance with an ISO 9001 accredited  quality management system, resulting in consistent profiles and excellent colour matching. Third-party accreditation by the British Board of Agreement, confirmed by a BBA certificate, gives confidence in long-term product performance and confirmed suitability of application.

The Range of Valley Troughs

Our extensive range of fibreglass valley troughs is designed for use in residential and commercial roofing applications and is ideal for roofs with complex shapes or designs, as they can be moulded to fit a range of roof configurations. Filon V-Flow Valley Troughs can be used with all clay or concrete tiles, natural and manmade slate. There are also options for wet and dry fixing (with or without mortar).

ConSeal’s unique S-shaped profile has been developed to balance support and drainage. The shorter span between tile ledges provides greater support to small cut tiles and slates, reducing the need for additional tile supports. At the same time, the wider central channel improves water flow and helps limit erosion at the valley line.

ConSeal sits fully concealed beneath the roof covering, leaving only the tile or slate visible along the centre line. There is no open channel and no visible lead strip. You achieve the precise, stitched valley detail associated with traditional roofing, delivered through a modern GRP system.

Installation is dry-fix and mortar-free. There are no individual lead soakers to install and no complex leadwork. The result is a clean, consistent finish, reduced material costs and a long-term solution with minimal maintenance requirements.
