Benefits of Filon V-Flow Valley Troughs
Since producing the first GRP valley gutters through a continuous process in the 1980s, Filon’s V-Flow Valley Troughs are still one of our most popular GRP roofing applications today. Discover why below.
Easy to Handle and Install
At a fraction of the weight of lead and supplied in convenient three-metre lengths, FIlon V-Flow GRP Roof Valley Troughs are easy to transport and handle on-site. They are easy to cut and sufficiently flexible to allow for a variety of roof pitches.
Excellent Long-Term Durability
Filon V-Flow GRP Roof Valleys are coated with a UV protective film, ensuring excellent protection against weathering, discolouration and fungal growth for a life expectancy of more than 30 years.
Quality Assured
Our Roof Valley Troughs are manufactured in an ISO 9001 accredited process, resulting in consistent profiles and excellent colour matching. Third party accreditation by the British Board of Agrement, confirmed by a BBA certificate, gives confidence for long-term product performance.
The Range
Our extensive range of GRP Roof Valley Troughs is designed for use in residential, industrial and commercial roofing applications and is ideal for roofs with complex shapes or designs, as they can be moulded to fit virtually any roof configuration. Filon V-Flow Valley Troughs can be used with clay or concrete tiles, slate roofs, as well as profiled GRP or metal roofs, and options are available for wet and now dry fixing (with or without mortar).
We recently announced the addition of the new Heritage Valley GRP Trough to the Filon GRP V-Flow Valley Trough range. This patent-pending design boasts a one-of-a-kind “S” shape that provides a narrower span between tile support ledges whilst creating a 35% wider drainage channel. Our customers can now enjoy the heritage aesthetic of a stitched valley and excellent long-term durability while significantly reducing the amount of tile-and-a-half or slate-and-a-half required as the narrow span allows for small-cut tiles and slates to be used. This significantly reduces the price of the roof coverings whilst the GRP valley trough is the same price as a dry-fix valley trough!
