Citadel Sheets

FILON Citadel sheets serve as a durable substitute for steel sheets in hostile settings that promote the decay and corrosion of metals. This makes it ideal for construction projects such as galvanizing plants, aluminium smelting works, fertiliser plants, composting facilities, coastal and marine buildings, chemical works, and many other similar applications.

FILON Citadel is utilised extensively in these aggressive and corrosive environments as a roofing and wall cladding solution, and is offered in a broad variety of profiles, along with translucent and opaque colours and tints.

Strength and durability image

Strength and durability

For wall cladding the sheets are available in two weight types, OPDR24 and OPDR30, both of which are double reinforced (DR) and opaque (OP indicates an opaque sheet). In addition, there is the triple reinforced Supasafe variant, which is the recommended option for roofing applications as it offers strength characteristics comparable to 0.7mm thick profiled steel sheets. When conditions permit, standard reinforced Citadel GRP sheets are also available.

Fire rated grades

FILON Citadel sheets have been tested in accordance with BS 476 parts 3, 6 and 7 and are offered in three fire retardant grades of SAB class 3, SAA Class 1 and SAA Class 0. All achieve Broof (t4) to BS EN 13501 Part 5. For technical advice on which fire grade should be used in specific applications please refer to FILON’s Technical Department.
