WHAT IS NEW HERITAGE VALLEY?
Heritage Valley by Filon is a ground-breaking, patent-pending GRP valley trough that creates a close-mitred valley appearance using cost-effective and simple methods.
Designed for use on slate and plain-tiled roofs, Heritage Valley is installed beneath roof tiles and slates, eliminating the need for expensive lead soakers. The one-of-a-kind, innovative ‘S’ design creates a wider drainage channel whilst maintaining narrow tile support ledges, significantly reducing the number of slate and a half and tile and a half that are needed going into the valley. These combined qualities ensure Filon contractors and clients can enjoy the desirable heritage aesthetic for less cost than a normal dry fix or open valley trough with leak proof roof capabilities.
BENEFITS OF HERITAGE VALLEY
From atmosphere to environmental sustainability, there are many benefits to FILON industrial rooflights:
- Dry-Fix Installation
- No Special Eaves Closures Required
- Maintenance-Free
- Cost-Effective
WHAT IS HERITAGE VALLEY MADE FROM?
Filon Heritage Valley Troughs are manufactured using high-quality glass-reinforced polyester (GRP). This composite material provides unrivalled strength, durability and flexibility for Heritage Valley troughs, guaranteeing a lifespan of 30 years with minimal maintenance.
Dry-Fix Installation
Heritage Valley Troughs are fitted using mortar-free installation methods, providing a long-term, zero-maintenance solution without the risk of mortar failure.
No Special Eaves Closures Required
With no large gaps at the foot of the valley to fill, the fascia board is simply cut to fill the valley trough profile.
Maintenance-Free
With a close-mitred valley, leaf matter and other contaminants have little opportunity to breach the system. However, if anything does get beneath the tiles or slates into the valley trough, the drainage channel is of sufficient size for the contaminant to be washed out during rainy conditions.
Cost-Effective
With far fewer tile-and-a-half or slate-and-a-half tiles required and the elimination of expensive lead soakers, Filon Heritage Valley troughs provide a huge cost saving for materials and skilled labour needed to achieve the heritage close-mitred aesthetic.
