Filon support NCC Midlands Awards 2012
Filon Products Ltd have shown their commitment to the National Construction College at Kings Norton by sponsoring the “1st Year General Construction Operatives Apprenticeship Award”. The winner of this year’s award, Mario Scinto of Murrill Construction Ltd was unfortunately unable to attend the ceremony as he had been whisked away to New York by his lovely girlfriend for a romantic trip. His award was collected by Mr. Tony Sargeant, Chief Executive of the West London civil engineering & highway contracting company. Tony was very proud of not only Mario but also nominee Matthew Mason and 2nd year GCOA award winner Sam Mason. Congratulations to them all, a fantastic acheivement.
The 2012 Midlands Awards Ceremony was attended by Managing Director, Mr. Ron Allen and Business Development Manager, Mr. Mark Wilcox. The occassion was lifted by the attendance of everybody’s favourite builder Tommy Walsh. The star of many TV programmes including of course Ground Force gave a very warm speech and presented the honours and awards to the nominees.
The day was a great success and enjoyed by all. It was a wonderful opportunity to give recognition to the hard working apprentices who are the future of this wonderful trade we call “Building”.
